Terrible Experience in Registration Office
I visited a Land Registration Office today and honestly, the conditions were terrible.
The place was packed with people, but there was no proper ventilation or AC. In this summer heat, the office felt like an oven. Everyone was sweating, the air was stuffy, and there was a bad smell because so many people were crammed into a small space.
What annoys me is that this office handles property transactions worth crores of rupees. Everyone knows how much money flows through these offices, and let’s not even talk about the unofficial money people say changes hands. Yet they can’t provide basic facilities for the public.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Registrar sits comfortably in an air-conditioned cabin while hundreds of people outside have to suffer for hours in the heat.
Is it really too much to ask for decent ventilation, a few ACs, and basic comfort for citizens? Anyone else faced the same situation in their local registration office?
