What was added in May?
This is by far the biggest update yet!
- Unlimited AI - Rather than linking externally to ChatGPT, students can now use AI directly on Exams.ie (as often as they like, all for free!). You can use it to generate notes (Example, Video 1, Video 2 ), generate solutions (Example, Video), create practice questions (Example, Video), create flashcards (Example, Video), create quizzes (Example, Video) etc. (I've also kept the ChatGPT option there too for those who prefer it.) You can also easily export the generated notes, solutions etc. to a PDF file and/or print them out.
- Canvas Drawing - You can now hand-draw solutions, add notes etc. to past paper questions and save them for future reference. You can also get your hand-drawn solutions graded by AI (Example, Video). Extra paper can also be added directly below a question, handy for those papers where you don't write your answers on the paper itself (Example, Video).
- In addition to already being able to see the appearance rate of each topic on the corresponding topic page, you can now also see the appearance rates on the subject pages, thereby allowing you to easily compare the appearance rates of each topic (Example, Video).
- Significant improvements were made to printing and PDF generation of past paper questions.
- Further improvements were also made to fetching the notes and videos for various topics. (I will add even more improvements to this over the next few weeks.)
- Fixed a bug where the notice about the final revision course was appearing to logged in users in the past papers section. (This should have only been appearing for logged out users - apologies!)
- Made more room in the past papers section by hiding the top header.
- Most of the requests I've gotten in the past few days are about hiding stuff in the past papers section which suggests that a lot of people are not aware of the Focus Mode button which does just that! I've therefore made the Focus Mode button stand out a bit more (Image). Tip: Click the Focus Mode button and F11 on Windows (or Control + Command + F on Mac) to fully minimise distractions.
What's coming in the summer?
That's for you to decide! If you have any ideas as to what other free tools I could add that you think would be beneficial to future students, please let me know in the comments!
This will of course be my last post before your exams, so I want to wish you all good luck, you got this! πͺπͺπͺ
P.S. As before, at the request of mods, I will not be answering any questions about my grinds here. This thread is purely about the free resources, thank you.
