Seeking Advice: How are you managing two completely different services after Upwork removed Specialized Profiles?
Hi everyone, I need some practical advice on how to navigate the recent Upwork update that removed the Specialized Profiles feature. I offer two entirely distinct services (completely different niches and target clients). Previously, the specialized profiles allowed me to keep things organized and pitch effectively without confusing potential clients. Now, I have to merge everything into the new single profile. My main concern is looking unprofessional or like a "jack of all trades, master of none." If I combine my titles, skills, and portfolio items into one page, I feel it will heavily dilute my profile's effectiveness and raise red flags for clients in both of my target audiences. For those of you who also offer multiple unrelated services, what is your current strategy to stay optimized? Are you heavily segmenting your main Overview section with clear headers? Are you relying entirely on the Project Catalog (Gigs) to separate your offerings? How are you managing the 15 profile skills and the main Title without looking like a scattered, random profile? I am looking for practical, tested strategies or any harsh truths on how to survive this update without dropping one of my services. Thanks in advance!
