MN1 from advice

Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding my child’s British citizenship application.

I received my ILR two weeks ago. My child was born in the UK about 2 months ago, but at the time of birth I did not have ILR.

Now I want to apply for my child’s British citizenship using Form MN1.

My question is:

Do I need to apply for ILR for my child first, or can I apply directly for MN1 registration as a British citizen?

Any advice or experience would be really appreciated.
