Can I have some suggestions please

I have been looking for a laptop for my studies that I can use for around 5 hours of light browsing and word documents and stuff at school but also get some gaming done at home. I have decided on the g14. However, it is very expensive therefore, I would like to know, is it more worth it to get a 2023 refurbished rtx 4080 version or go for a new 5070 2025 version. It seems the difference in battery is not much, and I dont know what Ill be missing out on. The 2025 5070 is 500 more here in the UK What would you do?
