Thoughts on an Eventual Mother 3

As far as I know there are no plans, rumors, or even rumors of plans for another Earthbound. But I was curious on the community's thoughts on if they would even want one, and if so what style of game would you even want?

Reto-revival style, modern 3-D, maybe something in the realm of HD-2D?

Honestly I think I wouldn't mind an Indy studio getting the keys to the franchise.
