I unlocked a majority of the map for no reason ?

Off topic, but my map suddenly unlocked parts I've never been to, starting from burrwitch village to the end of whatever's shown in the video. Is this a bug? Kinda takes away from the fun of clearing the fog of war myself, also very bad... Now I won't be able to know which parts I've explored and which I haven't.
