Recent experience Temporary Residence Renewal at INM CDMX Polanco
Hi.
I m going to renew my temporary residence card at INM CDMX in three weeks. As I only spend some time in Mexico, I stay at AirBnBs and I do not have a proof of address (e.g. utility bill). In the past, INM CDMX did not ask for utility bills.
Can someone with recent experience at INM CDMX confirm:
-
Did you or did you not need to submit proof of address for temp res renewal based on old address?
-
Out of curiosity, is it required for change of address or just the affidavit?
-
Are new cards still issued on the same day? How long did you have to wait?
-
Would you recommend sticking to my old address, even if I am staying at a different Airbnb this time? I guess it would just complicate things to switch to a new Airbnb without utility bill at hand.
-
Is it true that I can even book an appointment past my expiration date if I initiate the booking before the expiration date, provided that I enter Mexico before the expiration date and do not leave before I receive the card?
Also fun question:
- It will be gay pride in CDMX. Any tips what to do, which parties to go to, where to stay?
Thank you.
