Excellence Riviera Cancun vs Excellence Playa Mujeres

Hi everyone! I’m having a difficult time choosing between the two resorts mentioned in the title and would like any insight from those who have stayed at either one.

My top priorities are food quality, overall value for the price, as well as beach quality. I’ve read that the ERC doesn’t have the best beach water, as it’s murkier than those in the Cancun hotel zone and tends to get more sargassum. Can anyone share their experience there, and is the water generally swimmable or does the seaweed and water quality significantly impact the beach experience?

Please feel free to recommend any other adults-only resorts in a similar price range- I’m open to suggestions as well.
