Struggling with hirsutism, old scars and BDD. Need advice / Duas.
As Salamu Aleykum.
I’m 19F and i just feel completely alone and exhausted daily. I suffer from hirsutism and intense BDD. The hardest part is that absolutely no one in my family has this besides me. It doesnt seem like PCOS because all I have is the excess hair growth, nothing else. My family takes it really lightly and they just say I shouldn’t worry because I am not marrying anyway right now. But I just want to feel good in my own body and not trapped and exhausted 24/7.
Because of severe anxiety when I was a kid, i used to scratch and pick my skin constantly. I finally stopped alhamdulillah, but the old scars are still there. I used to be in therapy for my mental health, but tbh it didnt do much for me.
Alhamdulillah, my low thyroid completely fixed itself naturally without meds recently, and i lost 9kg so far. I also have mild pre diabetes but my sugar/food cravings are fully gone now. Even my front eyelashes are growing longer now, so i know my body is trying to heal from the inside.
But mentally i am just at a breaking point. I keep making constant, sincere Dua during Laylatul Qadr, Day of Arafah, and in Tahajjud, begging Allah to heal my body and mind. But sometimes I just feel so hopeless. I dont even know if hirsutism and old deep scars can actually be fixed or fade permanently, or if I am stuck like this forever.
Im currently broke and cant afford treatments.
I’m actively looking for a halal job within islamic boundaries to save up but the search is draining.
Are there any other sisters dealing with this? How do you cope? Can severe hirsutism and old scarring truly heal after making Dua and fixing hormones?
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read this I will truly keep all of you in my duas as well. Please keep me in your Duas. JazakAllah Khair.
