Abyg dahil naging unresponsive ako and nonchalant sa telephone inquiry during my job
I work sa frontline office, incharge ako sa outgoing and incoming. During hapon, that would be my busiest hours where mostly maraming clients ang nagpapareceive and kumukuha ng documents. During that time, someone called sa telephone twice. I did not answer dahil busy ako sa physical client (ako lang isa sa frontline). Sa 3rd call niya, I answered kasi wala ng client though i have a lot of pending paper works. The caller inquired about contact number of the regional office of our agency. I felt na it was very unnecessary call dahil data is already displayed online, but i gave it to him after searching in the website for the contacts. After a few minutes, he called again. Same thing did not answer because I was bombarded with clients. I answered after his second try. It was him again, informing me that it was unresponsive, so i suggest na if it was something urgent, they should just went directly sa office instead, or the regional might be busy rn. But the caller insisted na if we have a cellphone number of that office. I told him no, (i think someone in the department might have a contact number of people there, but I cannot simply give personal contact number to just anyone on phone, and quite busy ang office namin, no time to run errand and leave the frontline with no people during rush hour.) i went quiet for a few minutes and even clients appeared why im in call. And I told to the caller again that i dont have any number then he said thank you and ended the call.
Now, I'm starting to feel bad because I could have done better if hindi ako busy, but that doesn't change the fact that i treated the caller a bit rude in a way that i did not try to find other better solution for his case. And of me being impatient and cold to the caller
Ako ba yung gago dahil i treated the caller nonchalantly, and impatiently?
