Bought a new tv after using the same old crappy piece led shit for 6 years and now the finance company is driving my family insaneš„
My dad recently bought a new Panasonic Android TV on EMI. This is a big deal for us because we've been using the same old LED TV for about 6 years. The TV arrived without any problems, but the installation was SUPPOSED to happen the next day.
Here's where things get fucked up
About 5 years ago, my dad bought a TV for a relative using EMI. For some reason, the finance company still has that relative's number mixed up with our account.
When the delivery happened, instead of calling us for the delivery code, they started calling the relative. Imagine getting calls about someone else's TV purchase from 5 years ago.
My dad called them and clearly said, "Stop calling that person. Call us instead."
They apologized.
Then they called the relative again.
Today, when the installation team was supposed to come, guess who got the call? Not us. The same relative.
My dad complained again, this time he absolutely lost his temper
The result?
The installation got delayed by another day.
So now I have a brand-new Android TV sitting in my house, still in its box, while some finance company treats my relative like they're the main character of this purchase.
I've waited 12 years to upgrade from a dumb TV, and somehow the final hurdle is a customer database that hasn't been updated since 2021.
Like bro I just want to watch YouTube on my tv is that too much to ask forš„
