Slow performance on M4 Macbook

I've switched from Arc browser to Zen browser and have really been enjoying the change overall, but one problem that I keep running into is Zen is much slower at loading tabs, especially from a Google search, than Chrome or Arc or other alternatives and even with the recommended performance settings turned off and the hardware acceleration on, I'm experiencing really slow load times, and wondering if anybody has solutions they've uncovered for how to improve this.
