Are cervical contour pillows actually worth it?

I’ve been trying to improve my sleep setup and keep seeing these cervical / contour memory foam pillows that claim to help with neck support.

I’m mostly a side sleeper, but I sometimes end up on my back or stomach, so regular pillows never feel quite right. Either my neck feels too high, or the pillow goes flat and I wake up stiff.

The one I’m looking at has that curved “neck support” shape, cooling memory foam, removable cover, and says it works for side/back/stomach sleepers. It also mentions CertiPUR-US and OEKO-TEX, which sounds good, but I’m not sure how much that really matters for a pillow.

For people who have used this style of pillow:

Did it actually help with neck stiffness, or did it just feel weird?

Is memory foam better for this, or does it get too firm/hot over time?

Also, are these shaped pillows something you have to get used to, or should it feel comfortable right away?

Trying to decide if it’s worth trying one or if I should stick with a more traditional pillow.
