so my brother and I wen to belize because my dad bought 1k acres and he needed money in the country, he sent us both 10k dollars. I was 21 and claimed it as did my other brother. we were then tossed in to separate rooms upon de boarding. just like the movies, one light bulb and being interrogaged. after our bs excuses as to why we had so much money, we go to the hotel. my dad has instructed us from before we even got on the plane to keep the money on us all the time. we get to our hotel and check in. it goes fine, we go to have dinner and go back to our room and it’s tossed up and down. that’s when I knew Belize is a very corrupt country. will never go back. communication from airport to hotel, be careful. that exists.
