How/why are Jake/Quarritch/Norm attracted to a different species?

Especially Quarritch, given his hatred of the aliens, I can’t imagine him having sex with one… and yet.

Like isn’t it like beastiality? Their minds are still the same, their bodies may have changed but surely they’d still be attracted to humans? Like if I went into a dog avatar I wouldn’t start humping dogs?
