Connected or related dreams?

Both my dad and my sister had vivid dreams recently on the same night. My sister dreamt she locked our old childhood pet in a wardrobe as a joke, later on in the dream the dog had managed to become free and was wandering again, she remembered thinking “how did he get out?” That same night my dad dreamt he let our childhood dog out of a wardrobe and thinking “why is he in here?” Both of them remember the dream so well and it happened when they were sleeping at the same time. Has anyone ever had any experience around anything like this? I’m fascinated.
