I asked for a recommendation letter and my PI told me to write the template myself, what do I do?

hi! I asked my boss for a rec letter for my masters degree application and she told me to write a template and send it to her and that I can include whatever I believe I should. I'm very unfamiliar with this kind of thing, is there anywhere I can look to find a guideline?
