All of this was revealed to me in a dream so take it all with a grain of salt:

Alright, the first thing we learn is the whole VCU bravo kripke stuff was appearently an alternate reality.

One that's almost the same as ours, up until the 2010s at least, with a few key differences.

\- supes

\- michael jackson is still alive

\- mrbeast and ishowspeed (along with a blobfish fsr) becomes mainstream around 2015

Oh, remember how the story was supposed to be from the World War 2 times?

Yeah, the writers gave up on that idea to make even more "subtle" references to modern politics and its shenanigans. They found it too "write-fully challenging" to make ""subtle nods"" to said politics realistic by making certain events happen during that timeline. The whole story takes place around 2016, so they just shelve the Old Supes in Old Times idea completely.

The story now takes place in modern times. also if you didn't notice, kripke's back with the writing

And how do we explain this yet another case of false advertisement plus all the plotholes it creates in the original show?

Well, there is a scene feat. Homelander and the Deep just for that, right at the beginning of the show.

It's a prologue for The Boys right after the events of Vought Rising explaining exactly how all of that can take place in modern times to """justify""" the plotholes this show will create. The whole WW2 thing was just PR made by Vought, all material they created (promo materials, movies, etc) were all made with old stuff on purpose to make people believe they lived in an alternate reality.

Right after this scene the story begins, we learn the original V1 supes were sex-addict junkies hired by Frederick as experiments to test if the formula for V1 would work. They go around country "convincing" other junkies, including Soldier Boy to come to a cosplay party. They do this all in-costume.

IShowSpeed along with a talking blobfish are two of the kidnapped junkies. He has like a 6-minute scene dedicated to him

This party is appearently a suprise birthday party for MrBeast featuring Michael Jackson as a singer made by Vought as a "thank you" for funding them.

During the party, Frederick releases a "no-injection V1 gas" to the building which results in alot of the junkies dying with the only survivors being the original V1 supes and the blobfish

Michael Jackson, MrBeast and IShowSpeed die while singing beat it, with the blobfish crawling next to speed and then letting a huge cry out that takes like 10 seconds or something

the scream transitions to a balkan-esque home, speed's funeral home, and the screamer is now speed's mourning mother, who also screams for like 10 seconds

the camera then cuts to a sewed picture of 3 cartoon kids in a circle, one of the smiling heads, speed's dad appearently, stretches out of the frame, frowns, and then says "Son...", but the subtitles say "Cousin 🥀", then mourns his son.

finally i wake up in cold sweat

The premiere of Vought Rising was revealed to me in a dream the way Madelyn revealed Homelander her milkers in this scene
