Mice From Neighbors Backyard Coming to Mine at Night-Help!!

So we just moved into our first home in March and we noticed that there as a knocking sound outside everyday around the same time. We put a camera outside and found out that mice had been running along our fence with the neighbors and then running down our stucco house. Long story short my husband got one but there are more. Our neighbors have approximately 15 trees in their 10,000 sq foot lot. They are super nice and an elderly woman lives there so she doesn’t pick up the leaves and boom, mice heaven. The mice have eaten 3 tomato plants, 3 watermelon plants and some of my flowers from our needing planted garden. We have put up a fence with small hole chicken wire and then they decided to dig under to get in. We want to know how we can get rid of these pesky creatures and keep our garden going?
