Google Drive/photos storage plans

Is there no other cheaper plan than the 20 a month with google one? I remember you used to be able to pay for 20 a year for 100gb of storage. I really don't need 5TB of space and 20 a month is kind of crazy since I am trying to penny pinch a bit more these days.
