How can I pull off a field of gore?

I’m painting Ushorann for a painting contest and with a modified base I want him to be sat looking down on a field of flesh and gore for their grand delusional feast, I was considering saying f it we ball and throwing stuff at the wall (base) n seeing if it sticks but any techniques people know would be appreciated
