Why don't indians vote for MLAs and MPs, rather than a party?

Politics

(Haven't been active here, I don't know if I'm repeating an already discussed topic. I'm an 18 year old, at the very worst think of me as a baccha and dismiss me.)

Why don't we just vote for the representatives in the elections? Tell me the names of 5 MLAs from your state? You don't know. None of my knows do at least.

All the election voting revolves around this party or that party. "Who are you voting" "ohh bjp" "I think congress" HOW COULD THAT MATTER

There's a person, from both the parties. Evaluate them, question them. Would you make sure that the roads are fixed? Would you solve this or that problem?

If they don't, good. Next election vote for the other representative.

Why would you vote for a party? "Modi sarkaar" HOW COULD MODI EVER KNOW ABOUT THE ROAD ISSUE IN 22B DWARKA???? HOW WOULD REKHA GUPTA KNOW ABOUT THE WATER CONTAMINATION IN YOUR AREA?? The same goes for congress, or any other party.

Your MLA knows. Tell him to lock in, tell him to get stuff done.

Have you heard the thing, where politicians do a crime, and then get bailed out? Very often right? THEY STAND FOR ELECTIONS IN AN AREA. How about we stop thinking about parties, and look at the person??? "This guy has 2 murd*rs linked to him. Hmmm, obviously the other guy is better." Wanna know what India sounds like??? "This guy got into some murders, too bad I'm here to his party" ????????

At the very maximum, leaders like Modi or say rahul Gandhi, can represent India worldwide. Do whatever they can, good or bad, it won't ever reach us. The only way our daily life would improve, is by genuinely electing the best representative for our constituency, and let the majority decide the government.

(Side note but I don't support any party gang least of my worries but this stuff has me bugging for days now. Please don't beat me in the comments thanks)
