Sci-fi about different tower watchmen in separate districts

I believe I watched it on Netflix it follows a new guard in a watchtower watching over a specific district and talking to the neighboring towers. I believe he talks to a woman in one of the other towers and eventually she stops responding after something breaks the barriers between the districts and when he gets to the her tower he finds out she wasn’t actually there or was dead for a long time. I think he finds some hidden logs that say what’s really going on but I’m not sure.
