Are setup baton pass strats allowed in nuzlockes.

I got lucky in my recent pokemon renegade platinum and got a nincada early on. I was able to breeze through most of the E4 and champion battle using ninjask baton pass strats. I only needed ninjask, peliper and garchomp to beat all of them. It felt way too easy. Like I didn't even use all 6 of my mons.
