Taking my Google Drive exxternal disk away from Google.

I currently have an alias in the Google Drive folder on my desktop pointing to a folder, also named Google Drive, on an external hard drive. I want to do two things: delink this drive and all the data on it from Google, and turn it into a shared network drive that I can access and browse from a laptop and on my Android phone.

Searching the web for the steps to accomplish this returns a bunch of AI slop that doesn’t answer the question or is an ad for a product that doesn’t accomplish both tasks. Reddit to the rescue?
