Fictional fungus in my novel, would love mycologist input.

I am nothing of a mycologist, so you more fungi-savvy people will probably laugh at the inaccuracies in my “Zombie Fungus.” But I would like some feedback from people knowledgeable in fungi, please comment if you would like to read and critique this fungus.
