Mutilators charge on opponent’s turn with Crushing Charge?

If I’m reading Heroic Intervention (1cp or 2cp) variety, if my mutilators are close to something, they can charge it and activate their Crushing Charge into that unit. Perhaps you could always do this, but that sounds incredible. Thoughts on that move, if it works that way?
