Question pertaining to GOUT claim

VA Disability Compensation

I wanted an opinion on this. I have a number of ailments and injuries that are rated. My legs and feet are the source of my problems for the most part. I also suffer from GOUT. It is diagnosed and I do have medication for it, but I have a suspicion that the reason behind my GOUT is because of the amount of painkillers I take. I take about 800mg of ibuprofen every twelve or so hours and it's largely every day. About a year ago I had a physician inform me my kidneys were not, in his words "optimal". He stated this may partially be because of the amount of painkillers I take. My question: is it a plausible argument that a nexus may exist because I take painkillers for issues regarding my legs and feet and this, albeit indirectly, leads to GOUT?

I've looked through various reddit VA circles, or what ever they're called here, but haven't seen a lot of GOUT discussions. Thoughts?
