Episode 7

I always do a rewatch of each episode a couples days later to see if I missed anything.
In episode 7 opening scene when Sam and KC are playing chess, they go from 2024 to present day. When they move to present day, Sam is sitting alone at the chess table and the camera pans out to show the engraving Max did for Alice and then KC comes and sits down.
My husband thinks it’s a foreshadow to KC being Max and Abby’s child.
I still think KC is Jacob and Abby’s child. What are your thoughts??
