So my FIRST COUSIN of all people texted me a few days ago on Snapchat. We text a lot of the time on and off since he lives a few states away and I don't see him much so I didn't think much of it. (I am f20, and he is M 28-30 ish idk how old he is exactly.) He started asking me how me and my bf were (we broke up a few months ago) and I told him that.

He did the whole “Ah you'll find someone. You can do better than him. What a loser, etc.” Which again I thought was just him being nice and making conversation. I ask him how he and his long time gf have been doing. (last time we talked around new years he said he wants to propose to her but never did so I wondered if they were okay.) He says it's been rough and starts badmouthing her. He complains about how she's always “bitching at him” and to “be nice to your man because it hurts them more than you know” and I thought he was being a whiny little baby but didn't tell him that. I just said something like “oh well hopefully this is a rough patch for y'all and you'll figure it out :).”

There's where it gets weird. He hits me with the “I wanna ask you something but it's weird.” Of course I never guessed it would be anything like that because HES MY COUSIN???? And then he says he thinks I'm cute. I block him because what the hell and he starts texting me question marks on I message

UPDATE: I told my dad and he texted his brother (my cousin’s father.) My mom is telling his mother in case she doesn't already know. I also sent the proof to his girlfriend. I'm about to blow this man’s whole life up.

UPDATE #2: (I have posed a part two with screenshots) his gf responded to me but I can’t add more pictures here

His girlfriend finally responded to me. She said he had been facing a drinking problem and it had been addressed. Idk what she will do past this point but at least I know I did the right thing by telling her. Anyway, I appreciate all the kind people in the comments being supportive and making me laugh about it. I appreciate you! <3 I will add another update if anything else comes of it.

EDIT: I keep seeing comments about me “running his mental health” and “embarrassing him.” What about MY mental health? Did anyone ever think of that? To everyone taking his side and defending him and telling me I deserve to die for exposing him, you guys are exactly why so many people get away with mistreating others. I don’t regret what I did whatsoever. I never thought I would have to face death threats because I didn’t like my cousin back. There’s something wrong with a lot of you.

Not OOP: My COUSIN thinks I'm cute! (With updates!)
