How to decide between 2 colleges

Basically what the title says. I’m(19F) considering either CMU for Child Development, and UofM Ann Arbor, for Early Childhood Education. So I’m mainly considering UofM for their Child Life Specialist Internship (and fellowship). I want to be a Child Life specialist and that seems like a good opportunity to get experience in the work field while doing something that’s still related to what I want to do. First off, I mainly want to work with kids. I’ve been bouncing around ideas but it’s hard for me to decide. So I figured out I really want to be a Child Life Specialist, so I’m wondering which would be better. The main reason I like CMU is because the Child Development Degree which is much of a broader degree than Early Childhood Education. I’m unsure if getting an ECE degree would be worth it for my career path because it just feels like it locks me into ECE without being able to do much outside of classrooms or childcare.

TLDR:having trouble deciding between CMU and UofM, CMU has the degree I want a little more, and UofM has really good internships/experience for my preferred field.
