Shouldn't the exctinction just be called change instead?

I mean the extinction WOULD make sense as a human fear, sure. Humankind not existing anymore is scary. Buuuut if -according to the wiki- it is actually not a fear of exctinction per the factory definition, rather it is a fear of catastrophic change... like a world similar to the Matrix movies... then it might as well just be called (the fear of) change. The fear of our life, our surroundings and even us changing drastically for the worse in unfixable ways.

Tbh looking back on it, I don't even know why we don't have a specific change-associated fear because it is also a base human fear, how things never stay the same. But I digress. I guess I am just being pedantic, but I wanted to read other opinions.
