Got prescribed femotidine today, what should I expect?

Got referred to an allergist who specializes in MCAS a couple of weeks ago, the appointment today yielded me a femotidine prescription and another appointment 6 weeks out. 20 mg twice daily. Anything in particular I should look out for?
