Canon vs Sony

I really wanted a camera as a graduation present. I originally had my eye on the Fujifilm X100VI but it was out of budget, so I set my sights on the Canon G7 X III. I’m the type of person that when I want something, I want it now — and all the Canons were sold out everywhere. I found one on eBay and ended up overpaying for it.

I was happy with it at first. But, the very next day, my aunt was talking to a family friend about how excited I was about my camera, and they said “oh, you should have told me — I have a Sony RX100 VII that I never use, tell her to return the Canon.”

At first I was like omg yes, perfect! But now I’m stuck with two dilemmas:

1. Reselling the Canon and getting my money back  
2. While I know the Sony RX100 is technically the better camera, I actually love the vintage aesthetic of the Canon G7 X — and remember, my original pick was the Fujifilm

What would you do??
