AIO- My daughter used the bathroom on herself because the school wouldn't let her use the restroom.

My daughter is six and is special needs due to her hearing. It was her first day of summer school and the kids were at recess.

She asked to go to the bathroom but was told she needed to wait until the class went inside. She couldn't wait and peed herself.

I'm upset because my daughter hasn't had an accident in over a year and that happened when she was sleeping. She has no problem letting people know she needs to use the restroom, but I want to know what happened. Like, was it at the end of recess and they were lining up to go in, or was there only one teacher and they couldn't let her go on her own or something.

The school did not call/email her mother or I and we had to learn about this incident from her. That's the heart of what's bothering me. I accept that my kid might have an accident, but I would like to have been notified.

I'm waiting on a response from the teacher so I have more answers, but I am upset.

Am I wrong and over reacting?
