Full story: I was driving home from work earlier when I had to take a different route cause of a traffic jam, and while I was driving. I saw a deer run past the street. I slowed my car down so that the deer could past but for some reason, I heard something roll under my car. At first, I assumed I was driving over the bumps in the road, but then I kept hearing it, and I assumed that something broke, then I heard it...

Clear as day, a cry and it came from right under my car. I freaked out, pressed the emergency lights, and stopped by the car, checked, and lo and behold, a baby deer was stuck underneath the car. To clarify, the deer wasn't dead; it was very much alive, just stuck.

I was freaking out and hyperventilating from what just happened. My mom was on the phone, and she started telling me I should keep calm and park somewhere, but I didn't want to hurt the baby further. So I slowly leaned down and looked. The baby's back legs were stuck under the front of my car; the rest of it was free, and it was crying.

It wasn't that deep underneath, so I was able to quickly pry it out uninjured, and it quickly ran off to the side. Still, I was freaking out; if I hadn't heard that cry, I would've killed something.

I ended up spending the entire ride home screaming in my head, thinking about what almost happened, and I still hear the baby's cries right now. I just felt so guilty, I don't even know if it was even reunited with its mother because I was 20 feet away when I first heard the cry.

It survived, but still
