Lack of Energy + Motivation when home w/ labs
37M. This has been going on for a few years, predates any TRT or supplementing. At home I'll hit a wall, need a nap, can't really motivate. Get out of the house, run errands, work, whatever, and I'm basically fine. Maybe slightly tired but nothing like when I am at home. It's better than it used to be but it's still an issue.
Biggest single change I noticed was when I first got on T. But the home specific version of this never fully went away.
Current protocol: daily subq T (physician monitored), B. PC-157 (back + gut), G. HK-Cu, T. B-500, Thorne Super EPA 1-2x/day, vitamin D, magnesium 400mg before bed, astaxanthin 12mg, berberine (suspected SIBO, ongoing bloating issues), ginger 500mg with meals, sublingual B12, creatine 8g/day, selenium, ~150g protein, lifting 4-5x/week
Recent labs:
total T 1202 (high but running a body recoup protocol) / free T 140.91 / E2 sensitive 53.5 (running an AI to fix) / DHT 890 / SHBG 29.60 / prolactin 9.84 / LH <0.2 / FSH <0.2 / IGF-1 325 / TSH 0.240 / free T3 3.72 / free T4 1.00 / TPO <5 / hematocrit 50.9 / hemoglobin 17.3 / RBC 5.78 / WBC 6.5 / neutrophils 60.7% / lymphs 26.7% / monocytes 8.0% / eos 3.4% / basos 1.2% / platelets 227 / MPV 9.2 / MCV 88.2 / MCH 29.9 / MCHC 33.9 / RDW 13.4 / glucose 79 / HbA1c 5.0 / total cholesterol 157 / LDL 95 / HDL 50 / trigs 59 / VLDL 12 / ApoB 62.6 / ApoA1 149 / hsCRP 0.499 / iron 143.4 / UIBC 216 / iron sat 40% / TIBC 359 / ferritin 31.4 / vit D 20.6 / B12 232 / folate 11.7 / creatinine 1.20 / eGFR 79.9 / BUN 11 / calcium 9.1 / sodium 142 / potassium 3.8 / chloride 105 / CO2 25 / total protein 6.2 / albumin 4.3 / globulin 1.9 / ALP 76 / ALT 14 / AST 16 / bilirubin 0.6
Things I'm already eyeing: D is low so bumping that dose, E2 at 53.5 will be fixed soon. TSH is running low which could be relevant. Been thinking about adding L-tyrosine for dopamine support, maybe some rhodiola for the motivation side, NAD+ or NMN for energy at the cellular level. Also considering whether the berberine is tanking my energy since it does affect mitochondrial function.
Curious if anyone's had luck with anything specific for this kind of situational fatigue and low drive, not looking to just stack more stuff but if something actually moves the needle I'm open to it.
What I keep coming back to is why this is so context-dependent. If it were purely physiological wouldn't it just be always there? But I'm also not ruling that out because the labs aren't exactly perfect yet not bad. Curious if anyone's dealt with something similar or sees something I'm missing
