Deep vein thrombosis

So, I ended up with DVT im my forearm due to an iv I had while sick. I've been put on eliquis. Been taking it for 8 days. When does the pain start to get better? Is there anything I can due to help it? I have pretty limited mobility in my arm and it makes it very difficult to do basic tasks. The pain has gotten slightly better but I would give anything to be able to fully extend my arm 😭
