Ode to My Bernese Love
My dearest Bernese, so fluffy and grand, With fur that somehow covers every inch of my land. I find you in my coffee, I find you in my socks, I suspect you've secretly knitted yourself into my box.
Your eyes are so soulful, your heart pure gold, Though your idea of personal space is remarkably bold. You sit on my lap like you're still a pup, Despite weighing about as much as a pickup truck.
You drool on my jeans, You drool on the floor, You drool on the windows, And occasionally more. Yet somehow I still call you handsome and sweet, Even while I'm mopping up puddles at my feet.
You follow me faithfully from room to room, Like a furry bodyguard forecasting my doom. If I dare shut a bathroom door in your face, You act like I've vanished from time and space.
You steal my blanket, You steal my chair, You shed enough fur to build another bear. But your goofy grin melts all my frustration away, And I'd choose you again every single day.
So here's to my Bernese, my giant fluff beast, The king of the couch and the snack-time feast. You may leave fur everywhere under the sun, But life with a Bernese is twice the fun.
