What are the chances of turning a triple into a double?

Me and my roommate got our hall and room assignments and we both ended up in a suite triple in francis! But we had originally applied for a double. I was wondering if there was a big chance we would just be a double considering a triple is just a double with one extra set of furniture and it said in their email many were put in triples to ensure a room for everyone. We did put in a waitlist request but still haven’t gotten anything back. Thank you!
