How long after approval can use Delta or Amex Centurion Lounges?

Say you apply for the Platinum on June 1st. And you have a flight June 10. Do you have to wait to physically receive the card before using a lounge? Does Amex allow you to add to mobile wallet and will the lounges still accept that as proof or via the Amex app?
