Made a post a little under a month ago simply asking about the likelihood of get my money back as I no longer had a need for the jack and stands I purchased since I got into a grad school across the country. The hate I got over a simple question was so unnecessary. As a beginner trying to learn how to work on his car I meant no ill will towards harbor freight and genuinely wasn’t trying to”borrow” anything. I fully intended to use these tools given I thought I was gonna have a lot of free time on my hands and may I say the comments I received made me second guess attempting to return my items while also discouraging me from asking this sub additional questions about tools. So now I return, purely here to gloat and let everyone know I got my money back no questions asked, the workers were fantastic and helpful. But no ,really what I want to express is that to anyone who it may concern, as a beginner, don’t be afraid to ask questions. Just because you may not be as versed doesn’t mean you don’t belong in this community too.
You’ll never say the wrong thing to the right person. Miserable people will try their best to drag you down and make you feel guilty about your own autonomy as a customer. I get people in this sub may work in this industry and have experience with bad apples looking to borrow a tool for a quick fix. But that wasn’t me. I find it really icky how so many people jumped on my back without even hearing the context of my situation. So yes I’m here to rub it in my haters faces 😂. Thanks for coming to my ted talk, borrower out✌️😂.
