Replaced chandelier bulbs

I have an older chandelier that is on a dimmer that functions with incandescent bulbs. I recently replaced some of the bulbs with dimmable incandescent bulbs (not LED and dimmable, I checked!) but now the lights are either on or off and do not dim. It is a slide dimmer
