Everyone doubted me...but I knew my body.
This was my first pregnancy, and 6 days ago we had our first ultrasound. I was expected to be 8+3 based off LMP, but baby was measuring 6+5 with a heartbeat.
I was certain of ovulation due to OPKs and I got an early positive at 9 DPO, so baby was measuring 12 days behind. The doctor assured us everything was viable and didn't seem concerned, but of course I went home that night and Dr. Google showed tons of posts indicating this wasn't a good sign.
I was devastated, but allowed myself to be hopeful, until 3 days later I woke up and every single one of my pregnancy symptoms vanished. I had the best sleep in months, and I woke up feeling like I could run a marathon. I knew something was wrong. My husband and mom were the only ones that believed me, while friends and relatives assured me it was normal for symptoms to come and go.
On Sunday I woke up craving coffee (a MASSIVE aversion/nausea-inducer for the duration of my pregnancy) and decided to have a sip. It tasted delicious and I knew right then and there that I was miscarrying.
I managed to get in to see my doctor today, 4 days later, and it was confirmed baby stopped growing at 7 weeks (aligning when my symptoms vanished), and I have a D&C scheduled for tomorrow morning.
I have spent these last 4 days grieving as my mind already knew what my body did not, so I feel strangely relieved to have closure tomorrow and to know that I know my body well-enough to know something was wrong.
