I had the removal surgery

Hey guys, one week ago I had the hemorrhoid removal surgery. Ive had painless protruding hemorrhoids for about 6 years now, i tried different ointments and remedies and they always just lived there. a few months ago I decided to take a picture and look and I realized it was time to do something serious about it cause jesus my hole didnt look like a hole anymore. I get an appointment tell the doctor I want them removed and he said okay. Turns out it was just skin, no blood vessels. I did zero research on the surgery cause apparently my ego in the idea im able to handle pain well exceeds the actual reality. So in this i will tell you everything ive experienced so far (keep in mind based on what ive read, im not dealing with a super bad healing process. Its actually been pretty smooth comparatively)

Day one- high as hell on pain meds, can feel the pain but i was so high it didnt mentally register immediately. Took a while to pee each time I had to, my body had a hard time engaging the muscles. Super nervous about tearing so barely pushed.

Day two- pain has showed its face, im watching the clock for med times. They gave me ibuprofen and oxycodon with tylenol. Later in the day I think I have to have a bowel movement and end up trying to push (not supposed to do that) and made the pain worse. I felt like I was on labor constantly during this time. This is the day I looked up the surgery and realized it was considered one of the most painful to recover from. Yay. Found out sitz baths are a god send

Day three- spent the entire day in bed taking meds and sleeping.

Day four- feeling a bit better (would find out this was due to consistency in med times) during this process I have also been taking my Miralax religiously and drinking water and vitamin water for hydration. Today was the day I had my first BM and it was violent but quick. I immediately took my meds and sitz bath after to calm the intense pain. It wasnt solid and that was a gift from god.

Day five- if I dont take the meds regularly life is hard and difficult. Drove myself to the store to make sure I had my pxy refill because I couldnt imagine going through this without it. Another two BMs sitz bath after each. Pain isnt near as intense

Today- the dull throbbing constant pain is killing me but I dont feel like im in active labor anymore. Dont need sitz baths unless I have a BM. But im only able to fully empty my bladder at the end of a sitz bath because Its the only time my anus doesnt want to push.

Things ive learned: stay hydrated as hell. Wipe after using the throne with which hazel as it helps the area stay clean and dulls the ache. STAY HYDRATED. The pain level differs each day. Im never getting this done again.
