Would you recommend training in Ogden (Salt lake city), Utah

Has anyone done flight training in the Salt lake City general area over the past 2 winters ?

I have the opportunity to move to Ogden from Southern California for a career pilot program. The move would save me a lot on the program but the training would fall right in the middle of winter and I’m worried the flight delays would make the move pointless. I have the option for the program in both locations and free housing in both, any advice ?
