Anyone in SoCal would give up low rent for more space and privacy?

I'm at 850 a month in Orange County for a room, all utilities and internet covered, laundry, and a very nice shared bathroom with a tiled walkin shower. But the downside is that I am living with landlord and her husband and baby. Not much privacy so I just stay in my room.

Discretionary income is at 15k a year although I am aggressively putting away in retirement accounts, like 25% of income is going in retirement.

Should I give up like 5 or even 8% of that retirement to put more into a more private space?
