Bro In Christ \]: "Have you ever gone through spiritual warfare?" \[ Me looking back at that ONE time \]: 👇

For real though, we all laugh at this template because Dante looks absolutely, utterly cooked. But if you remember the backdrop of this exact scene, it’s actually one of the most powerful moments in the whole movie.

Dante is literally at the bottom of the universe—the frozen lake of the 9th circle. He’s bleeding out, completely isolated, and facing Lucifer.

But instead of trying to swing his scythe or act tough, he does the most counter-cultural thing possible. He drops to his knees in the ice and fully repents. He stops making excuses for his past and tells God: "I belong here. Lock me down here forever if it means keeping these demons trapped away from the world."

The enemy thought he had Dante trapped in the freezing dark of his own failures. But the moment Dante broke his own pride and surrendered to God, the enemy lost all his leverage.

It perfectly captures 2 Corinthians 12:9:

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

If you're currently sitting in a frozen wasteland of a season looking exactly like Dante in this picture, remember Micah 7:8: "Do not rejoice over me, my enemy! Though I fall, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light for me."

You don't win the battle by acting strong. You win it by letting God fight it for you.

Drop a ❄️ if you've survived a season in the trenches. What scripture pulled you out?
