We had our wedding this weekend with 30 people at a VRBO. I had verbal permission twice and written permission via text where I stated the count twice and in response he confirmed “we are good” … during our wedding the video taped us and took pictures - from what angle i don’t know - to prove we had more than 8 guests… he said videos of my family bringing out chairs and tables. No permission requested and we had children. The next day he verbally assaulted me in front of several people. On checkout his wife verbally assaulted me on speakerphone over the phone of a third party she hired to clean. When our niece arrived before us, a few days before the wedding, she documented that the lights in their added “party space” garage were laying on the floor. He accused me of ripping them off the wall.

On checkout, we scrubbed the house and left the yard and home better than we arrived in. At that time the wife started screaming how we were illegally having an event and that “one of our people” (my sister in law) took the keys and I was responsible because she rented it was for our event. She then had the cleaning lady give me her number so i could text her the video. I texted both the screenshot of the approval of him and the video. He then texted me threats.

Tomorrow I’m calling VRBO for owner misconduct and their legal department. I am also filing a harassment complaint locally due to the threats and such. I’m terrified these people are going to show up at my home or something here.

It’s such a freaking shame for our wedding. What a nightmare

Harassed and intimidated by owners
